 In general, the hotels in Vantaa tend to be considerably cheaper than their counterparts in nearby Helsinki. Therefore, many businessmen choose accommodation and lodging in Vantaa over the lodging available in Helsinki, and commute each day.
Weekends tend to be the cheapest time of the week to stay in Vantaa, when the business travellers have left and rooms need to be filled.
There are a number of budget hotels here if you are counting the pennies, and even a camping site close by.

Within central Vantaa itself, one of the city's most popular hotels is the Sokos. Located on the Hertaksentil and just minutes away from the bus station and also the Tikkurila railway station, the Sokos Hotel Vantaa features more than 160 guest rooms, no less than five different restaurants, and notable spa facilities. Whilst it is true to say that the Sokos is heavily used by businessmen, it is also extremely suitable for families and provides a good standard of accommodation, which is clean, modern, well placed and quite affordable.
